Our Classes
In all our classes we teach:
Full body engagement: How to move torso, arms, hands, legs, hips and even the head with style
Communication with the dance partner: the art and techniques of following and leading
Patterns
Footwork to use when dancing solo (shine steps) to spice up your dancing
How to be in harmony with the music
No partner required: We rotate partners so you learn to dance with different people.
Each Session lasts 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes of guided practice.

In our Group classes you will learn in a group of 10 or more people. It is not required to bring a partner. We rotate students, giving everyone the opportunity to meet, adapt, and grow!
We provide Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba classes for different levels. Each Lesson is 50-minute long. Upon completion of each Level we will assess and advise which level to take next. Feel free to take the same level again, our classes are refreshed regularly! We strongly advise to start classes with taking the Beginner Level, and advancing to Intermediate and then Advanced Level.

Learn this very popular style of dance that originated in New York with special influence from Puerto Rico and Cuba. We teach Salsa on 1. Our classes are divided into warm-up, shine steps, technique, new moves and turn patterns.

Beginner to advanced dancers welcome to join this class specializing in Shines (footwork) and stylization for both men and women. This is a very energetic class. So get ready to sweat. This is a no partner class. No partner required.

Salsa for kids is dance class for kids age 7-12. We have two groups to better address age differences in developing kids. Kids will enjoy a fun and exciting class that introduces them to a wonderful world of Latin dance. In the non-competitive and fun atmosphere kids will learn basics of Salsa and then start getting ready for the showcase at the end of the year. Most importantly they will have good time, learn to communicate with one another, acquire good manners and respect toward each other. Equally exciting for girls and boys, this class is sure one of the hits at our studio.

Learn this sensual dance that has gained popularity recently. This dance originated in Dominican Republic. Even though its origin can be traced to the sixties, Bachata music and dance has been evolving due to the influence of other rhythms, dances and instruments.

Flamenco is a Spanish music and dance art form. In class, students will learn to understand the relationship between the baile (the dance), toque (the music), and cante (singing) at varying levels. Exercises will develop students’ technique in footwork, turns, and body positions. Classes also include learning expressive choreography.

Tango was born in Buenos Aires at the end of the 19th century and popularized in the 1920’s when great songs were written. Now it is danced all over the world. Tango music can be slow and soulful, or fast and fun. It is beautiful to listen to, but even better to dance to! Like two bodies in close embrace, Argentine Tango uses the connection to your partner as a source of energy; it lends itself to creativity and since it is improvised, and can be danced to almost any type of music.

Have fun while learning basic moves and techniques that are essential to Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue. Enjoy our flexible environment and get ready for a great time at a Latin club or social. As our methodology focuses on the core elements of the Latin dancing, beginners learn the basics while intermediate dancers tune-up their technique to improve.

Kizomba Classes
When: Thursday 9pm: Partner Dancing / Beginner Level
Kizomba is one of the most popular genres of dance and music originating from Angola. It is a derivative of semba, with a mix of Kilapanda and Angolan Merengue, and sung generally in Portuguese. It is music with a romantic flow. It was the Kimbundu name for a dance in Angola as early as 1894.

When: Thursday, 6pm - 7pm in Hawthorne
This class is specifically catered to young adults, their music tastes and interests. Besides the dance techniques and patterns, students will be introduced to many social skills required on and off the dance floor, safety, respect, grace, appropriateness and such. Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and other Social Dances will be taught during a period of time. It is expected that students commit to a series of lessons and attend them continuously.

Elegance in every step. Beauty in every turn of the head. Our Waltz, Tango & Foxtrot class will teach you all the basics of the most beautiful Ballroom dances. You will learn not only the basic steps, but also techniques and moves, following and leading and proper posture. Get excited to be introduced to the intricate culture of Ballroom dancing.

This theatrical dance tells a story of love and passion between a strong, male lover and a coy, teasing woman. Full of sensual movements, the Rumba is considered by many to be the sexiest of the ballroom dances. "Rumba" is a term that refers to a variety of dances or a "dance party."

If you want to be fit, graceful and flexible the ladies styling class is for you. You will work on your posture and body, elegant and flowing movement, musicality and creativity. The class starts with deep warm up to prepare, warm and stretch all your muscles. It continues with focusing on a topic of a day: it can be the walk, arm styling, focus, turns, emphasizes and many more. On the second half of the class you will learn a fun choreography, which will help to develop your artistry, technique, creativity, coordination, memory, free movement and of course to fall in love with dancing! If you like music, positive energy, exercise, if you want to have fun, lose and find yourself, join us!!!
